A believer should never become despondent He has firm faith in Allah who is master of all treasures of the earth and the heavens. His grace and bounty have no limit and whose powers are infinite. This imparts to his heart extraordinary consolation, fills it with satisfaction and hope. Whatever difficulties he may face, he would never abandon his faith in and dependence on Allah, never leaves him, and on their
Strength he goes on struggling. Such profound confidence can result from no other belief than belief in Allah. A mushrik and a kafir depend on their limited powers; therefore in times of double they are soon overwhelmed by despair and sometimes they commit suicide.
When man makes up his mind devotes his resources to fulfilling the divine commands he is sure that he has the support and backing of the lord of the universe.
The declaration of faith inspires bravery in man. Human fear comes mainly from two sources: (I) fear of death and love of life, and (II) the idea that there is someone else other than Allah who can take away man's life. Belief in la ellah ellla Allah purges the mind from these ideas. There is no fear death because he knows that his life, his property and everything else really belong to Allah, and he becomes ready to sacrifice all for his pleasure. He also knows that no man or creature has the power of taking away his life, Allah alone has the power to do so his time has been ordained for him, and all the forces of the world combined cannot take away anyone's life before that time. It is for this reason that no one is braver than the one who has true faith in Allah. Nothing can daunt him: not even the strongest tempest of adversity and the mightiest of armies.
